South Bay Church is committed to giving generously and praying fervently for our global partners who are sharing the love of God around the world.
Todd, Tiffany and their four children have been serving the people of Southeast Asia for eight years. Through the coffee industry, they are stimulating the Local economy through the creation of jobs and providing training for rural farmers. Through their work, they have built relationships within the villages and are leading many to say yes to Jesus for the first time. In June 2017, we will send our first short-term mission team to Southeast Asia to support the work of the Sanders family.
We have supported and worked alongside La Esparanza Rehabilitation Center for many years. In addition to providing physical and mental rehabilitation from substance abuse, La Esparanza holds daily worship services where hundreds of men and boys have found spiritual healing through the message of Jesus. In addition to financial and prayer support, we send multiple short-term mission teams each year to serve alongside La Esparanza and our other contacts within the region
The Phillips family have launched a Family Center in Kurdistan that serves Middle Eastern women and children, as well as many refugees who have been displaced from their homes due to war and turmoil. They provide job training, tutoring, art and music classes as well as basic resources like food and kerosene. Through these efforts, they are able to share the love of God in an area desperate for hope and renewal.
Through the avenue of business development, Rafael and Carol are sharing the love of Jesus in a country that is predominantly muslim and averse to the Christian message. It is our privilege to support them as they give their lives to engaging the unreached.
Gabe and Eric Phillips and their families are engaged in a holistic ministry in Chile – re-building entire villages that were devastated by natural disasters, engaging young people on the streets and holding worship services designed to connect with the unchurched. In addition, their multiplicative ministry has helped to plant dozens of churches in South America and around the world.
Eder Bizutti is partnering with South Bay Church to revolutionize the efforts within the Brazilian church to reach the next generation. Through conferences, training and resources, the Brazilian church is learning to partner with parents to change the lives of young people with the message of Jesus. In addition to financial support, leaders from BayKids provide teaching and training for church-leaders through an annual fall conference in Brazil.
China is a communist country that once sought to purge the nation of Christianity. The movement of God cannot be stopped. There is a revival happening in Asia that is unlike anything recorded in history and the Worcesters are a part of this movement. Their efforts are focused on reaching university students in the heart of Asia.
Compassion International leads the way in the fight against child poverty around the world. Members of South Bay Church sponsor hundreds of children around the world, providing basic necessities such as food and education as well as access to the message of Jesus. In addition to one-on-one sponsorships, we also send mission teams to Ethiopia and Brazil each year to visit the kids we support and serve within the children centers.
Villa Esperanza is home to 30+ girls in Managua, Nicaragua who were born into extreme poverty. Before entering the Villa, these girls lived in a dangerous environment, where they were at risk of abuse, sex trafficking, rape, teen pregnancy and drug abuse. School was most often not an option, and any chance to have a healthy childhood was lost at a young age. Villa Esperanza provides the environment these girls need to thrive and grow into the women God intended them to be. In addition to financial support, South Bay sends mission teams to serve at Villa Esperanza.
