The ministry of South Bay Church is funded through the generosity (tithe & offerings) of our attendees. Everything given is used to advance our mission of urgently leading people to say YES to Jesus and passionately follow Him.
South Bay Church has an annual financial audit performed by an independent accounting firm and each year the budget is reviewed and approved by our external Board of Overseers and internal Advisory Team.
Our financial practices and structures are set up in such a way which require high standards of biblical accountability, financial transparency, integrity in fund raising, and proper use of charity resources. There are multiple ways for you to give at South Bay Church. Each method allows for God’s work to be done as you are faithful to His calling to give back.
Online giving is a safe and easy way to support the ministries of South Bay Church. This system enables you to support the church by making a one-time contribution or establishing a recurring contribution through your debit/credit cards or bank accounts. (Chrome browsers are currently not supported with the online system).

You can use the “Bill Pay” feature of your bank to send checks automatically to our church. Just set it up to send checks to our office address at 1172 Murphy Ave. Suite 130, San Jose, CA 95131.
Appreciated Marketable Securities are a great way to maximize your giving, because you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the full fair market value of your securities. In addition, you pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost and the fair market value. Financial giving at South Bay Church can generally be divided into two categories: tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is 10% of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis (Malachi 3:8-12 / Matthew 23:23). When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering.

At South Bay Church, we honor God’s provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of South Bay Church remains above reproach.

While we allow the use of credit cards for tithes and offerings, we still strongly encourage the use of electronic funds transfer rather than credit card for two primary reasons:
Although many pay off their credit cards each month, many also do not. We do not want to encourage someone to go into debt and pay interest on gifts given to the church. We offer the opportunity to donate by credit card as a convenience to those who manage their finances in a God-honoring way.
With electronic transfer, your entire gift goes to the church. When using a credit card, as much as 3% of your gift can go to the credit card company.
Your information is held securely by the Fellowship One system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled.
